Exploring Educational Opportunities at the Elephant Orphanage, Nairobi, Kenya

Several years ago, the children at KCH had an opportunity to visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. We visited the park to explore educational opportunities, see their work with orphaned elephants, and witnessed two school-group’s reactions during our time there. As a result, we paid to foster a baby elephant in the name of Kajiado Children’s Home for two years, so that they would receive monthly updates and feel part of this worthy cause. Future visits to the Elephant Orphanage for KCH children can be explored by visiting mission groups or other interested parties. The park has an impressive educational component that our children would certainly benefit from as they learn more about their country of Kenya.
