Valley School of Excellence

Kajiado Valley School of Excellence (KVSE) is a private primary school, located on the campus of Kajiado Children’s Home. KVSE is led by a dedicated team of qualified teaching and non-teaching staff, with a focus on competency-based curriculum to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes for a brighter future. They provide a learner-centered system of education from the Early Child Development Center up to Grade 6. The environment ensures a learning experience focused on results in proper child growth and development. Students include residents of KCH as well as the greater community.

At KVSE, they endeavor to mold children holistically, nurturing their academic, social, emotional and physical development for life-long success. KVSE has state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance the learning experience. The school is equipped with spacious classrooms equipped with the latest technology, a library, a computer lab, music and art programming and vibrant recreational areas. Our modern facilities inspire excellence and creativity in our students. KVSE is open to all children in the Kajiado area. It includes an Early Child Development Center (nursery & kindergarten) and a primary school (grades one through six). A junior high school expansion is planned to open in 2025 to include grades seven through nine.

High schools in Kenya are boarding schools. KCH high school students return to KCH during school breaks for workshops, mentoring and to reconnect with other siblings and students.

All children are provided the opportunity to visit their villages during longer school breaks to maintain a connection with their heritage. Those with single guardians welcome them home during that time. If there is no guardian, they may stay with family friends or other village members.  The safety of these children is closely monitored to ensure they are cared for until they return to KCH.
