Bright Horizons Project
Kajiado Bright Horizons Project (KBHP) is a mentorship program led by American and Kenyan volunteers to assist secondary and post-secondary students with their next steps. These students must navigate young adulthood on their own, and contend with a myriad of social and economic disadvantages. Some students face additional challenges when they are the only Maasai at their school. KBHP provides annual structured workshops to aid in developing skill sets needed to succeed.
During the Career Readiness and Tech Training workshops, students meet with Kenyan technology and employment specialists equipping them for success in the modern workplace. They receive training in computing and digital marketing, with the goal of creating ADT-compliant CV’s, and becoming well-versed in all aspects of seeking employment. They are taught how to research career options and network in their chosen fields. Technology access and training equips our students with the skills necessary to succeed in today’s Kenyan job market.
You can make a significant impact on helping these young adults to achieve their goals of self-sufficiency. Their challenges are great, but your moral, prayerful and financial support will help them become productive citizens of Kenya.
